Tourism Survey of Magdalen Islands Residents. Your Input is Important!

The Mount Saint Vincent University is currently carrying out a study that will indicate how Magdalen Islands residents personally feel about tourism in their region. Specifically, the purpose of the study is to learn more about residents’ opinions, attitudes and perceptions towards the level and future of sustainable tourism development in the Islands.

The study will provide a clearer understanding of residents’ views and perceived impacts of tourism development and management of tourism on the Islands. To help with this study, they are asking if you would please take 10-15 minutes to answer a survey questionnaire. All information obtained in this study will be kept strictly confidential and anonymous by using appropriate and acceptable coding procedures. The results of the study will be presented collectively as the ‘community.’

The deadline date to complete this survey has been extended until September 30th 2010 due to low participation from the English-speaking community. Those who would like to participate in the survey can go to the link below or contact the CEDEC office to receive the link electronically.
