CEDEC – Mentoring Coordinator
Michel works with CEDEC’s Small Business Support team to help small and medium-sized businesses with their scale-up needs. As mentoring program coordinator, Michel and works closely with Réseau M, Quebec’s premier mentoring network. More than 1,500 experienced business owners within the Réseau M network share their knowledge and expertise with entrepreneurs to help them deal with the challenges inherent to a growing business.
Prior to joining CEDEC, Michel had a long and rewarding career with the federal public service, working under various capacities related to economic development, from both operational and policy perspectives.
Catherine has always been interested in education and giving back to the community. She has been an active volunteer on her local school board and helped 60milliongirls, a local grassroots organization, fundraise to build schools in Burkina Faso. An enthusiastic supporter of CEDEC, Catherine began volunteering as a mentor in 2014. As a long time entrepreneur, she recognizes the benefits of speaking and listening to other entrepreneurs can help business owners solve challenges and issues.
Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, and attained her MBA from McGill University. She currently resides in the vibrant neighbourhood of St. Henri in Montreal.
