This workshop is designed to assist young entrepreneurs to develop an effective and engaging pitch of their business idea. Whether pitching to an investor, a potential team member, or someone they meet at a networking event, an entrepreneur must be able to communicate their idea clearly, concisely and professionally.
CEDEC’s workshop will demonstrate the importance of having a pitch ready that can be tailored to various audiences and occasions.
We will look at the components of a successful pitch, current terminology and examples of pitch decks (a pitch deck is what an entrepreneur will use to elaborate his business idea to potential investors, this is often in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and different styles of pitching e.g.: pitching to a bank or delivering an elevator pitch).
Working in small groups, participants will develop a pitch for a sample company, practice pitching to the entire group, and receive peer feedback.
