The Public Policy Forum’s fifth annual Growth Summit connecting with thinkers, deciders and doers from business, government, academia and other sectors will tackle the most pressing challenges and solutions to Canada’s economic future.
In 2020, discussions will build upon A New North Star, Canadian Competitiveness in an Intangibles Economy, an important piece of research shared at PFF’s 2019 summit.
The second edition, New North Star II, Canadian Industrial Policy Responses for the Intangibles Economy, promises to be just as illuminating as the authors focus on “how the trend towards an intangibles economy will require new and re-imagined policy responses – both in terms of our industrial policy, including trade, investment, competition, and adjustment policies at home, as well as in terms of our role on the international stage – with the two-sided goal not only of maintaining our economic competitiveness globally, but ensuring that economic growth is inclusive across the country.”
