CEDEC (Community Economic Development and Employability Corporation) is a leading partner and driving force for community economic development and employability.
A volunteer-driven organization, CEDEC sparks economic innovation in building forward-looking, prosperous and confident communities across Quebec through sharing expertise, knowledge and building partnerships.
Community Economic Development
Community Economic Development (CED), the centre of CEDEC’s strategy, involves the mobilization of community members to take charge of their own social, cultural and economic development. CED identifes and builds upon assets and opportunities supported with appropriate information, resources, expertise, and planning.
From the initial stages of information gathering, analysis of economic challenges and the identification of assets to forging partnerships, we can contribute at every step of a community economic development initiative.
With our Quebec-wide reach and pan-Canadian connections, our intervention spans from mobilizing and helping with the start-up of local action groups to the execution of well-planned projects supported with meaningful partnerships.
CEDEC is funded by the Enabling Fund for Official Language Minority Communities and by the Government of Canada
