Allison Deer, MBA, is a Mohawk from Kahnawake, Quebec, with a remarkable 40-year track record in community and economic development. She proudly holds an MBA in community economic development from Cape Breton University and has been an influential figure on numerous local, regional, and national skills and development boards. As the Senior Project Advisor of Bimaadzwin, Allison leverages her proven managerial, analytical, networking, and communication skills to forge and maintain enduring partnerships. Notably, she served as the Vice President (VP) of Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training in Toronto, Ontario (2004-2007) and currently holds the esteemed position of Board Director (2022 – present) on the Cape Breton University Alumni Board of Directors. Allison’s expertise has been sought after in academic circles, where she has delivered compelling lectures on Indigenous community economic development, reconciliation, inclusion and diversity, and Indigenous-led development at various universities and colleges.
