Lee M. Royko

Lee has been a CEDEC board member since 2011 and contributes his extensive background in business development and marketing in information technology, telecommunications and wholesale and retail sales and marketing. Lee is the owner and principal of MarkNat Business Consulting, a management consulting firm.

Very active in the community, Lee recently served as a City Councillor in the Ville de Léry and Chairman of the Comité Consultatif d’Urbanisme (Municipal Planning Advisory Committee) and represented Ville de Léry on the board of Transports Accès Inc. a non-profit organization which owns and operates adapted transit minibuses.

In 2011, Lee helped found the first, and so far only, chapter of CARP in Quebec. CARP is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization committed to a ‘New Vision of Aging for Canada’ promoting social change that will bring financial security, equitable access to health care and freedom from discrimination.

An active member of CEDEC’s Mature Workers Initiative, Lee promotes the continued involvement of mature individuals in decision-making and leadership roles, and encourages volunteering of time, experience, and knowledge to better our communities.

Recently, on behalf of CEDEC, Lee participated on a discussion panel hosted by Business News Network, broadcast on national television on the subject of starting a business in one’s “golden years”.
